Eric John Crandall's Obituary
Eric John Crandall, born December 31, 1960 to Mary and Alfred Crandall, passed away on July 18, 2025. He left Michigan in 1985 for new adventures and opportunities in Florida, where he lived the remainder of his life surrounded by his Florida chosen family, including close friends and neighbors. Penny Buckles was often mentioned for her delicious food, and Mr. Bernie was his best friend.
Eric is survived by his siblings, Rosemary Walls, Michael Crandall, and Roxanne (Drew) Winslow. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Michelle (Ralph) Hedgcock, Cory (Hope) Crandall, Angela Graven, Nicholas (Michelle) Walls, Christopher (Shannon) Walls, and Jasmine Winslow, in addition to several great-nieces and nephews.
He dedicated many years in the plumbing industry and also served as the Director of Public Works for the City of Bunnell.
Eric was a true Trekkie with a big heart for cats. He was never without a foster kitty in his home and volunteered with the Community Cats of Palm Coast. He was also known for his elaborate Christmas and Halloween decorations. He always had a smile on his face and was always willing to help those in need. He'll be missed.
His ashes will be scattered in the ocean. In honor of his memory, please consider supporting your local cat rescue society.
