Ernest L. Mangum's Obituary
Ernest L. Mangum, Jr. , 93, of Palm Coast passed away at Florida Hospital at Flagler on March 4, 2017. He was born in Washington, D.C. on October 17, 1923 to the late Ernest L. and Mary Virginia Taylor Mangum. Ernest served his country honorably in the United States Navy. He was employed by the Department of Agriculture for over 40 years. After moving to Palm Coast Ernest was a very active member of the Lion Club, Elks, and the Knights of Columbus. He was an avid golfer most of his life. In his later years Ernest enjoyed the company of all his friends at the Wickline Senior Center. Ernest also enjoyed many cruises with Paula, his wife of 41 years.
A prayer vigil will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, March 10, at Santa Maria Del Mar Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to George Wickline Senior Center, 800 S. Daytona Avenue, Flagler Beach or to the charity of your choice.
Heritage Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family.
