Floyd “Bud” Hartl
Floyd “Bud” Hartl, born September 24, 1950 to Leopold Hartl and Luetta Panske, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on March 29, 2015 at the age of 64 years.
Bud grew up and attended Stratford High School, Stratford, WI. After high school he went on to marry the love of his life on November 26, 1968, where they joined lives for 46 years. He started working in the truck tire industry in 1970 for several different tire companies before becoming a very successful owner and operator of his own company, St. Paul Tire, Inc. from 1991 to 2012. Bud worked in the tire sales business most of his work career until he decided to sale his business to Royal Tire in December 2012.
He then began a new adventure, retiring to Florida on December 26, 2012. Bud was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, Hudson, WI. He was an avid fisherman; he loved to fish in Canada and would get away as often as he could. He enjoyed playing golf and volunteered his time delivering Meals on Wheels. He will be remembered for his witty, wonderful sense of humor and a heart full of compassion and kindness. Every person Bud met felt the impact of his gracious generosity by helping them with whatever was needed.
He is preceded in death by father, Leopold Hartl, step father, Leo Panske and daughter, Jill Hartl.
Bud is survived by his wife, Susan Hartl nee Zarada, his mother, Luetta Panske, sons; Chad Hartl, David Hartl and Matthew Hartl, sisters; Bonita Sperling, Ruth Mithell, and Judy Hartl. He also leaves behind grandchildren; Amanda Hartl, Jenna Hartl, Michelle Hartl, Kayla Hartl, Ty Hartl, Thomas Hartl, Rebecca Hartl and Jonathon Hartl.
Memorial Service will be held Sunday, April 12, 2015 at 2:00 pm from the Bethel Lutheran Church, 930 3rd Street, Hudson, WI. Luncheon to follow.
Arrangements are under the care of Heritage Funeral & Cremation Service, Flagler County, FL.
