Frances Neva Pickett's Obituary
Frances (Fran) Pickett, 79 years old passed away on March 20, 2023, in Palm Coast, Florida. She was born on April 13, 1943 in Duluth, Minnesota to Earl and Mary Barrett. Frances was an avid golfer, insatiable reader, and talented artist. She regularly played 18 holes of golf with her husband (and kids when they visited). Fran read her entire life, regularly reading 2 novels a week, no matter what else was going on. Lastly, she was a wonderful creator of beautiful stained-glass art. From kitchen cabinets, to lamps, to window hangings (her son, Chris, still has the SLU Billiken in his office), her talent was undeniable.
In addition, Frances was wicked smart, clever, witty, fiercely loyal, persistent, strong-willed, and expected nothing but the same from her family and friends.
Frances was preceded in death by her father, Earl, her mother, Mary, and her sister Mary Josephine. She is survived by her husband, Ronald, her sons Chris (Christine), Anthony (Tiffani), her grandchildren (Lily, Lucy, Lincoln, Robbie, and Becca), her sister Judy (Fred), her brother John, and a number of nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be April 22, 2023 at 3:30 PM at Parkway United Church of Christ, St. Louis, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation to continue research to try and eradicate this insidious disease.
Heritage Funeral and Cremation Service is in charge of the arrangements.
