Frederick "Fred" Paul Mannerberg
Frederick "Fred" Paul Mannerberg passed away on January 26, 2013 in Deland, FL at the age of 81. He was born on May 18th, 1931 in Punxsutawney, PA to the late Frithof S. and Mary C. Mannerberg nee Shermer.
Fred served his country during the Korean War as a Medic in the U.S. Army. Fred worked as a Refrigeration Field Engineer most of his career. He moved to Florida in 1973 from Indiana. Fred was a member of the VFW, Moose Lodge and American Legion; both here in Florida as well as Indiana. He enjoyed dancing, woodworking, reading and spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Fred is preceded in death by his beloved wife Susan Phyllis Mannerberg in 2003 after having shared 39 years together. He is also preceded by his daughter, Veronica Travis.
Fred is survived by his sons; Fred L Mannerberg Jr. of NY, Joseph W Mannerberg of NY, Larry K Mannerberg of FL, Joe P Mannerberg serving in the Army in TX, and his daughters; Cathy Stiglich and husband Marty of IL, Lynn Ploucher and husband Troy of FL, and Jean Dixon and husband Chris of FL. He is also survived by his sisters; Helen Mannerberg of NY, Wilma Meyers of NY and Mae Gelnett of GA; as well as fourteen grandchildren and one great grandchild.
