Georgann McDuffey's Obituary

Mrs. Georgann Lynn McDuffey, was born Georgann Lynn Thomas in Chicago, IL on July 2, 1953. She was the daughter of the union between Roy Thomas and Marie Thomas (Ruemmler) She passed away peacefully November 10, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Henry McDuffey, from Helena, Arkansas who passed from this life in August 2010.
Georgann loved the Lord and helping people by preaching the Gospel of Jesus. Georgann was a kid at heart and her laugh was contagious. There was nothing she would not do to help someone. She was kind, eccentric, genuine and a wonderful Yai Yai!
Georgann is predeceased by her brother Roy Thomas, sister Sharon Firak and her mother Marie Ruemmler.
Georgann is survived by her father Roy Thomas, sister Diane Scholtes; daughters Vulnavia McDuffey and Doreen Voorhees; granddaughters Angelique Marie Costello, Cassandra Voorhees, Melissa Voorhees and Deanna Voorhees; beloved nephews and nieces which include: Denise Neisler, Donovan Neisler, Timothy Neisler, Suzanne Neisler, Paul Firak, Joseph Firak, JoAnn Hudson, Lisa Burkholder and a host of grand nephews and nieces whom she prayed for routinely.
Georgann will be buried with her husband in the Georgia National Cemetery for Veterans in Canton GA. There will not be a formal service at her request. We are asking all to celebrate her life by reading a Psalm out loud.
