George Francis Fanning's Obituary
George, also known as Frankie Fanning, 74, passed away at his home peacefully on June 29, 2017. He was born on August 5, 1942 to Mary and John Fanning, the youngest of 8 children.
He worked for the NYPD with 20 years of service. Upon his retirement, he moved to Flagler Beach where he worked for Publix Supermarkets for 10 years. He was a faithful volunteer for over 20 years for Halifax Health Hospice of Vol/Flag counties.
Survivors include his loving wife, Gail. One daughter Colleen Fanning Rizzuto and her husband Michael. Two sons, Martin J. Fanning and his wife Cheryl, and Frank P. Fanning.
Stepdaughter Michele Onusko and her Husband Dave. Stepson Richard Neese.
Grandsons Dave “DJ” Onusko and Ryan Onusko. Granddaughter Mary Catherine Fanning.
Grandsons Hunter and Brayden Neese, Granddaughter Logan Neese.
Also survived by one sister Cecelia Moore, and 3 generations of nieces and nephews who
will always love and miss their “Uncle Frankie”.
A memorial mass will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, July 13th, 2017 in St. Stephens Catholic Church Bunnell, FL. In lieu of flowers the family requests any donations to be made to Halifax Hospice of Vol/Flag Counties, Flagler Humane Society, or charity of your choice.
