George Richard Seiler, 76, passed away comfortably, with family by his bedside on February
22, 2023 at Stuart F Meyer Hospice House in Palm Coast, FL. He was born on October 25,
1946 in Queens, New York to the late John and Madeline Seiler.
He is survived by Astride Seiler; his daughters, Vanessa Seiler Felder (David Felder) of Fort
Lauderdale, FL and Veronica Seiler Bergmann (Chris Bergmann) of Deerfield Beach, FL. He is
also survived by his sister Barbara Seiler (Muriel Fariello). He will be deeply missed by his
family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his brother Walter Seiler and his wife,
Sheridan Seiler.
George was a proud graduate of U.C.L.A. He was a Veteran of the United States Army,
serving in Germany during the Vietnam War. He loved all things history, to travel
internationally, cook countless recipes, eat sushi, listen to John Lennon and The Beatles, read,
watch football and go fishing. He enjoyed dining at great restaurants and living life to its
fullest. He was a longtime employee of Bayer Pharmaceuticals and loved his people.
George was a true people person, connecting many, showing them how important they are
and making them feel at ease. George Loved his family, all the furbabies over the years and
Rika, the African Grey Parrot. George was a loving and providing father.
George’s sister, Barbara shared a sentiment from childhood. George always had sales skills.
When he was five, he sold his brother’s Monopoly set for 25 cents and his stickball bat for a
nickel (they lived in NY). When George was in first grade, he would take food from their
fridge and sell sandwiches to his classmates. Mom figured it out. He was interested in and
knowledgeable about many things, very easy to talk with. George was fun to be around and
always a great laugh.
Everybody reading this can attest to aforementioned text and know each of you were loved
by George.
A Celebration of life for George will be determined at a later date, perhaps a burial at sea off
the coast of Fort Lauderdale, fl.
