Georgia Eleanor DeGrandis
Georgia Eleanor DeGrandis of Palm Coast, Florida, was born in DuBois, Pennsylvania on November 14, 1942 to the late George and Eleanor Kirker nee Ross. She passed away after a long struggle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, also known as ALS or Lou Gehrig’s Disease, on January 16, 2013 at the Florida Hospital Hospice Care facility in Flagler County, Florida. She was 70 years old.
Georgia was a strong Christian. She attended college in the northeast and Florida, achieving over 15 professional certifications. She worked in the high volume, high technology manufacturing industry as a Director of Quality. Upon retirement she returned to school at the Bob Ross Institute and Daytona State College to pursue her passion for art. She was an award winning, published artist and taught art in several venues including her own studio, Grammy Ross Art.
Georgia is survived by her husband John of Palm Coast, Fl. Five children, Scott Kuntz and his wife Donna of Macedonia, IA, Tonia Test of Palm Coast, FL, Linda DeGrandis of Jacksonville, FL, Crystal North and her husband Duane of DeLand, FL, and Michelle DeGrandis, of Iowa City, IA. Siblings, Jane Ellenberger of Renoldsville, PA., George Ross and wife Louise of DuBois, PA, Netta Hoversten and husband Bill of Mt. Home, AR, Judy Amick and husband Jack of DuBois, PA, and Rahn Ross and wife Lori of Aiken, SC. Five grandchildren Michael, Crystopher, Matthieu, Brianna, and Dylan
She was an extraordinary, strong, selfless, loving child of God who was loved by all that knew her.
There will be no services held at this time but a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
