Gladys Brock's Obituary
Gladys Brock, 79, of Bunnell, Florida, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2026, at AdventHealth Palm Coast. She was born on July 7, 1946, to the late Melvin and Ida Belle Snipes.
Gladys lived a life centered around family, faith, and the comforts of home. She loved fishing, reading, and playing cards, but her greatest gifts were found in her kitchen. She was an incredible cook and baker whose meals gathered not only her family, but friends and even strangers. Her home became a place where people felt welcome, cared for, and always fed. Her cooking reached far beyond her own table—people from near and far, even around the world, came to love her dishes, especially her famous sweet potato pie, pound cake and fruit cake.
Her children and grandchildren were her heart. She lived for them, supported them, and loved them without limits. To her family, she was the foundation—steady, loving, and always present. There was nothing she wouldn’t do for those she loved. She was also a devoted prayer warrior, constantly lifting her family and friends in silent prayer.
She is survived by her beloved children: Valerie Lookingbill and husband; Earnest Brock and wife; Mitchell Brock; and Michelle Brock and husband. She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Jessica, Mike, Jasmin, Ebony, Henry, Sey’Briyannah, Jackie, Curtis, William, Arriyah, Kenya, Briyanna, RJ, and Rochelle; as well as six great-grandchildren who brought her joy beyond measure.
Gladys is preceded in death by her husband, Lyn Brock; her children, Ben and Deborah Brock; and her brother, William Snipes. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Heritage Funeral and Cremation Service. Visitation will begin one hour prior at 2:00 PM.
