Grace Elizabeth Ann Ford's Obituary
“Amazing” Grace Ford, 91, passed away peacefully on the evening of Monday, November 7, 2022 in Palm Coast, Florida family at her side. She attended a one-room school house for grade school and graduated from Our Lady of Good Council. At the age of 16, she met the love of her life: the late Thomas Joseph Ford, Sr. They were married in 1950, sharing over 62 years together.
When she was a child during WWII, Grace was trained to spot and report enemy planes that might have appeared off the east coast where she lived. As an adult, she worked for Reader’s Digest, analyzing mail and responding accordingly. Grace and her husband lived in several states along the eastern seaboard before settling down in Indiana where they lived together for 40 years. She was a devout Roman Catholic who taught Sunday school for many years. She had a wonderful sense of humor, enjoyed reading, gardening, caring for animals, knitting, and learning new skills - like speaking Spanish. Grace found her final home in Melbourne, Florida at the Fountains where she created many memories with her friends and family.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Dianne, and her loving husband. She is survived by her children, Deborah, Lauretta, Thomas Jr., and Erin; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and many loving and dear friends dispersed across the many places she lived in the United States.
