He is predeceased by his wife Deborah A Allen and a younger brother Richard James Thorpe.
He is survived by a son, Christian Bernard Thorpe. Gregory went to school at Germantown Academy and then went into the Navy with his brother Richard in 1975 on the “buddy system.” His work was classified and we only found out about it recently. Suffice to say he wasn’t jet skiing on Grand Turk. He stayed in the reserve for 4 years and then became a Cadillac mechanic. Many years later after an injury, he worked as an auctioneer, repaired grandfather clocks and antique dolls and had Thorpe Antiques with his parents and brother.
A loving son, faithful husband, adoring father, precious brother, much loved uncle he lived a full life. He will be missed and often thought of, with a smile, a memory and a tear. Memorial to be held on February 24, 2023 at Heritage Funeral Home in Bunnell at 6PM.
