Harold "Jake" Hott's Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Harold Chadrick Jaboc "Jake" Hott, 44, of Palm Coast, who left this world on October 3, 2024. Born in Columbus, Ohio, Jake was a spirited soul known for his infectious love of life and his unyielding passion for cars.
Jake was the beloved son of Donald Hott and Laura Presley, both of whom have predeceased him. Though he did not graduate from Whetstone High School, his hands-on knowledge and talent for fixing cars spoke volumes about his resourcefulness and dedication. He could often be found in his garage, immersed in the comforting sounds of loud music, surrounded by tools and the unmistakable scent of motor oil, where he found his true joy.
As a devoted father, Jake’s greatest pride and joy were his seven children: Alexis, Lacey, Kayley, Maddie, Gavin, Gage, and Sydney. He cherished every moment spent with them, instilling in them a love for adventure and a respect for the road. His legacy will continue through his two granddaughters, Aubrielle and Aliza Loy, who brought light to his life.
Jake is survived by his sister, Amanda Hoag, and a host of nieces and nephews who will forever carry fond memories of his laughter and his unwavering support. Though he had a small living family, Jake's heart was vast, embracing friends and loved ones with open arms and a warm spirit.
In our hearts, we find solace knowing that Jake is now racing the golden-paved streets of heaven, his love for fast cars and loud music echoing through the skies. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will live on in the stories shared, the laughter remembered, and the love that will never fade.
Rest in peace, Jake. You were truly one of a kind.
