Irene G Manning's Obituary
Irene G. Manning, 90, of Palm Coast, Florida, passed away peacefully in her home on September 2, 2022.
Irene will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her, including her fur babies Buckshot and Kitty Baby. Honestly you only needed to meet her once before finding a special place for her in your heart.
Irene was born and raised in Lynn, Massachusetts, the third of eleven children. Her parents were Mabel (Maillette) and Jean Henri Amiarault.
Irene married young and had her first born Linda at 18 and her second child, Wayne, a year later. She was remarried in 1962 to Joseph W. Manning and had her third child Cheryl. They later moved from Lynn Massachusetts to Peabody, Massachusetts where they continued to raise their family.
Mom loved her country music and would play her guitar nightly as she sang along with her angelic voice. Her affectionate and loving personality shown through her music.
Irene also loved animals and was never without at least one pet. At one point she would wake every three hours to feed and care for baby bunnies when their mother rejected them.
Her mischievous and fun loving spirit made everyone smile. Irene loved her slot machines and bingo halls, along with her partners in crime, her sister, Lorretta and her sister-in-law Mary.
Irene and Joe loved to travel whether it be in their mobile home or by plane or train. Her and dad had the exciting opportunity to travel though parts of Europe, visiting her brother Richard who lived in Germany. Also traveling through Nova Scotia where her ancestors were born.
Christmas was a favorite for Irene. Decorating every inch of her home. Welcoming in family and friends to enjoy and celebrate. Another favorite was Thanksgiving where she would put on such a feast which would include her “world famous” gravy.
As children, we would go camping just about every weekend. She would always make an adventure for us to enjoy.
There was and will always be so much of Mom to remember and tell about. Her life wasn’t always easy but she always made the best of a situation and would make wonderful memories with the hand she was dealt.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph W. Manning.
