Iris M. Perren's Obituary
Iris Perren of 14 Ulysses Trail, Palm Coast Florida passed away on November 5, 2018 after her battle with Cancer.
Iris was born in The Bronx on August 19, 1962 to Angel and Olga Melendez.
She attended Syracuse university where she graduated on May 12, 1984 with Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She worked at Mt Sanai Hospital in New York City as a nurse for a few years before to moving to Richmond VA.
She was married to Frankie Wilkins on March 1987. They had two children Elias Wilkins and Samantha Rene Wilkins who passed away on June 5th, 1997.
She remarried in January 2003 to William Perren and the they moved to Florida in 2004. William passed away in December 2010.
She became a teacher and taught for many years, in Broward and Volusia County Florida.
Iris was a member of the Hispanic American Society where she made many friends and enjoyed spending time with them. She loved cooking, cruising, dancing and most of all vacationing and spending time with family. She was a wonderful loving daughter, sister, mother, wife and a dear friend. She had a kind and gentle soul who gave generously when she had it.
Iris was diagnosed with an aggressive type of cancer in July of 2017. She was a fighter for she was determined to fight to the end to enjoy life.
Iris is survived by her parents Angel and Olga, her son Elias and his wife Alena, sister Melissa Isaacs and Brother in Law Paul, best friend Moncy, three step children Trevor, Natasha and Mykel Perren and his wife Kimberly. Niece and Nephew, Gina Isaacs Gray and Anthony, Grandchildren, Sydney and 9 step grandchildren Savion, Shontal, Kasir, Natalya, Jahmil, Nasir, Janez, Kierre, and Kameron. Uncles, Miguel and Albi, Eddie, Gabino and aunt Carrie, aunts Isabel and Rosa. Many cousins, Thomas, Lisa, Anne, Lucy, Soraida, Jimmy, Jill, Jesse, Monica, Dwayne, Omayra, Rosani, Caitlyn, Gabriel, Jasmin and God daughter Sarai Banner and many friends.
Iris will be missed but not forgotten.
