Irwin R. Brathwaite's Obituary
Irwin R. Brathwaite
Irwin R. Brathwaite of Palm Coast, FL was born on January 20, 1934 in the town of Cedros on the island of Trinidad to the late Theophilus Brathwaite and Mabel Brathwaite nee Addsion.
After his birth, the family moved to the city of Tunapuna where he was raised. There he went to school and learned to be an obedient young man that later qualified to be a minister. He really loved God’s word the bible, which he articulated and taught well. He had a pleasant smile and a good sense of humor. He is also known for his humility and kindness along with great patience. Truly a benefit to many he would meet and often befriend. Although having different jobs over many years he retired from IBM in 1988 after 17 years of service.
He will always be remembered for his steadfastness and faith in God’s promises. Of all his accomplishments, the one he treasured most was being called “…..one of Jehovah’s Witnesses….” He followed that course faithfully to the end.
He is survived by his loving wife Gloria Rachel Brathwaite of 51 years, his son Gideon Brathwaite and wife Dee, and his daughter Jael Lydia Brathwaite.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1970 Old Kings Road N., Palm Coast, FL 32137.
All arrangements are under the direction of Heritage Funeral & Cremation Service, Flagler County, FL.
