Isabel Torres Ortiz de Pacheco's Obituary
Mrs. Isabel Torres Ortiz de Pacheco, the daughter of Lucia Ortiz and Gilberto Torres, was born on June 16, 1940, in Guayanilla, Puerto Rico, where she grew up. She was known by all as Isa. As a young woman, she moved to New York City with her husband, Efrain Pacheco. She raised her three daughters in the Bronx and Brooklyn. Isa worked as a seamstress and a school aide and retired to be a house wife. Throughout her life, she lived in New York, New Jersey, Texas and Florida. Years later, she returned to her Isla del Encanto and lived happily in her home in Yauco, Puerto Rico.
On June 28, 2025, God called Isa home after a life of being a faithful servant. As a dedicated sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, cousin, godmother and friend, Isabel Torres Ortiz de Pacheco will be truly missed by loved ones she leaves behind here on earth. However, she will be greeted in Heaven with open arms by her mother, Lucia Ortiz, brother, Ramon Baez, her husband, Efrain Pacheco, her son-in-law, Anibal Miranda, aunts, uncles, cousins and, most importantly, by our Lord and Savior.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her beloved daughters, Elizabeth (Alfredo) Ortiz, Lucy Pacheco, Maria (Werner) Ay; granddaughters, Lisa (Jose) Santiago, Jessica (Kevin) Ortiz Robinson; grandsons, Wilfredo (Aryan) Morales, Thomas (Tiffani) Ortiz, Anibal (Zara) Miranda Jr.; great grandchildren, Kermit Rodriguez, Lucielle Rodriguez, Angelica Santiago, Jazmin Santiago, Ethaniel Santiago, Olivia Robinson, Reagan Robinson, Isabella Sylver, Tyler Ortiz, Eden Ortiz, Ashton Miranda, Ashley Miranda, Mariana Miranda; brother, Raul Torres; sisters, Angela Rodriguez, Antonia Baez, Ada Baez, Jeanette Baez, countless nephews, nieces, cousins, grand nieces and grand nephews, and a host of other relatives, neighbors, club members, church members, and dear friends.
