Jacqueline Monroe's Obituary
Jacqueline (or Jackie as she liked to be called), a beloved Wife, Mother and Grandmother passed away unexpectedly on May 21, 2023 in Palm Coast, Florida. Jackie was born on December 11, 1961 in Camillus, New York. Jackie is survived by her mother Anita and was preceded in death by her father Ed Chemotti. Jackie was a proud 1980 graduate of West Genesee High School – and tried to never miss an alumni reunion/party. While she grew up in Upstate New York and occasionally attended (attending class regularly at an early age was not a priority) Paul Smith’s College, she spent most of her adult life living in Florida. She was always a hard worker and was proud of her career accomplishments and educational achievements; from Director of Operations at Personally Yours Staffing in South Florida, to obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources from Florida Atlantic University (Go Owls!), taking educating classes to become certified as an Elementary Education teacher, through to becoming a Respiratory Therapist later in life (although Phlegm was “not” her friend and she never practiced). She always liked to learn new things.
Jackie married Mike Monroe in Weston, Florida on September 6, 1997 and Mike will continue to love her until it’s his turn to join her in Heaven. She is survived by her daughter Danielle Zeman as well as the latest most precious addition to the family, her granddaughter Capri. While Jackie loved Danielle more than anything, she loved spending time and face-timing with her beloved Capri. Her other loves were her doggies – from Peanuts – her dog when she was growing up, to Modem and PC (Mike and her met on the internet in an AOL chat room – hence the geeky pet names). Next came along Dipper, then Romeo and finally Charlie (who may have sensed something – preceded her in death by a month). She is undoubtedly playing with and pampering all of them in Heaven…although Modem always liked Mike more. =^)
Throughout life Jackie was a fun-loving person and enjoyed people and making friends. Her times going to Dolphin games (back when they were good) and tailgating with friends were among her most cherished moments. She was an avid Facebook follower and loved keeping up with her friends and family through social media. She would seldom eat a restaurant meal (at least at a new restaurant) without taking pics and opining on the culinary experience. Jackie loved to travel and (using Mike’s frequent traveler points) was able to travel extensively. While Paris was her favorite city, Italy was her favorite country. She also enjoyed traveling to Aruba and especially enjoyed the Marriott Stellaris (although the casino there wasn’t that friendly to her in return).
While her life came to end abruptly and much too quickly, she lived life to the fullest and tried to savor every moment. She will be missed, but she will be loved forever!
