Jane Brigandi's Obituary
Jane Brigandi,77, of Palm Coast, FL passed away after a valiant four year battle with pancreatic cancer on June 7, 2024. She showed her true colors and fierce determination every day she fought this horrible disease. Jane was born in Rockville Centre, NY on May 25, 1947 to the late Cono and Antoinette Brigandi.
A long time resident of Hicksville, Jane began her career as a cosmetologist, owning her own salon in East Islip, NY. After moving to West Palm Beach, FL she found her true calling to help others- first as a nanny and ultimately as a caregiver for the elderly. She was respected for her kindness, her giving nature, and was loved by all.
Family was everything to Jane. She was a loving and devoted mother to Diane (John) Vitale and Michele (Dwayne) Garren. She was a proud grandmother to Ashley (Jon) Unger, Brandon Vitale, Christopher J. Garren, and Sierra Vitale. Whom she loved with all her heart. Jane is survived by her siblings Julia Cunn, Anthony Brigandi, John (Gerry) Brigandi, Nick (Ronnie) Brigandi, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that will miss her dearly. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Louie (Doris, Kathleen) Brigandi, her sister-in-law Loretta Brigandi and brother-in-law Arthur Cunn.
Our family would like to sincerely thank everyone for all the prayers and heartfelt messages of support they have received. A funeral mass in Jane's honor will be held on Saturday June 29, 2024 at 11:15am at Holy Family Catholic Church, 17 Fordham Avenue, Hicksville, NY 11801. In lieu of flowers, we encourage you to consider donating in Jane's honor to the American Cancer Society or a favorite charity of your choice.
