Janet & Harry Wendel's Obituary
With saddened hearts we announce the passing of our parents, Janet and Harry "Jimmy" Wendel. Janet was born in Deland, Florida on June 16, 1951 to the late Franklin and Margaret Gautier. Harry was born in Welaka, Florida on November 20, 1941 to the late Hugo and Dorothy Wendel. They both peacefully entered eternity a mere 24 hours apart. Janet passed away August 2, 2021 followed by her beloved husband of 47 years, Harry on August 3, 2021.
Janet was a medical secretary for many years before retiring. Harry was a commercial fisherman for most of his life. They enjoyed spending family time together and spoiling their grandchildren. They will truly be missed.
Janet and Harry are survived by their daughters, Jaime Johnson(Brian) and Shannon Myers (Jeff); grandchildren, Will, Briana, Marissa and Jordon; Harry's sister, Punky Blevins (Dean); Janet's brothers, Greg Gautier (Jen), Russell Gautier(Mollie) and Scott Gautier; many nieces, nephews and friends.
They are preceded in death by his daughter, Tami Lynn Wendel; his brother and 2 sisters.
Janet and Harry will be laid to rest 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Eden Cemetery in Crescent City, Fl with Chaplain Katherine Burns officiating. A reception will follow the graveside service at the Church of the Holy Comforter, 223 North Summit Street, Crescent City, FL 32112.
