Janet Walters Clark
Janet Walters Clark was born on April 16, 1945 in Newark, OH to the late Lowell and Irene Walters nee McFarland. She passed away on August 31, 2012 in Port Orange, FL at the age of 67, after fighting a courageous battle against cancer and lung disease.
Janet graduated from Lakewood High School in 1963. She was employed by the Holiday Inn in Heath, Ohio and worked several years at Western Electric in Columbus before moving to Port Orange. While living in Port Orange she worked at several gift shops, her latest being Crabby Joe’s on the pier.
Other than her parents, Janet is preceded in death by her husband John Clark.
She is survived by her sisters, Barbara Humrichouse of Newark, OH, Sharon Tinney and husband William of Newark, OH, and Mary Simon and husband Joseph of Hilliard, OH. Also surviving are many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Janet will always be remembered as a kind and loving sister.
A celebration of Janet’s life will be held from the Life Church in Heath, Ohio on September 15, 2012 at 12:00 pm. Janet’s family would like to give special thanks to Halifax Hospital, Port Orange Nursing and Rehabilitation, Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, as well as her doctors and caregivers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Janet’s name to Covenant Corner United Methodist Church 3701 S. Clyde Morris Blvd. Port Orange, FL 32129
All services are under the direction of Heritage Cremation and Memorial Chapel, Port Orange, FL.
