Janice Brisebois' Obituary
Janice Brisebois
Janice (Boutin/Nation) Brisebois, 75, of Edgewater, FL, peacefully joined the angels while surrounded by family at the Halifax Hospital on Saturday, December 1, 2012.
Born November 19, 1937 in Massachusetts, she was married to Victor Brisebois. Her vibrant life was dedicated to being a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt & friend. She resided in Enfield, Connecticut for most of her life, prior to retiring to Florida.
She co-founded Loaves & Fishes Soup Kitchen in Enfield, CT. She and her husband lovingly cared for stray cats until they found safe homes. Her home & heart was always open for anyone who needed a friend. Her beautiful smile, contagious laugh, and caring heart always brightened the day for anyone who knew her for more than two seconds. Strangers identified her non-judgmental nature and would soon be sharing their life secrets.
She will be deeply missed by her husband of 54 years, Victor Brisebois, her children, David Brisebois of Edgewater, Florida, Lisa Soloway of Glastonbury, CT, & Kimberly Goyette of Enfield, Connecticut, along with their spouses Maria, Peter, and Henry respectively. She will be sadly missed by her father, Roland Boutin of Leesburg, FL, sister, Barbara Roy of Tunnel Hill, GA, brothers, Joe Boutin of Fairview, MA and Alfred Nation, Jr. of New Hampshire. She leaves 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, sister-in-laws & brother-in-laws, as well as nieces, nephews, & friends too numerous to name.
Family & friends will gather for a private day of celebration to honor her life at 1:00 pm on Sunday, December 9, 2012 in their residence, 1632 Victory Palm Drive, Edgewater, FL.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family respectfully request donations are sent to Edgewater Animal Shelter, Mango St, Edgewater, FL or Halifax Humane Society, Daytona, FL. Janice, thank you for the memories. We love you always & forever-for real.
