Janice Gail DiMillo's Obituary
Janice Gail (Wetherington) DiMillo, 67, of Bunnell, Florida went home to be with Jesus on Friday, September 3rd.
Janice was born on September 24th, 1953 to Almina “Louise” Wetherington and Bruce Wetherington. She grew up on Peaks Island, Maine and it is there that she met her future husband, James “Jimmy” DiMillo. They moved to the Casco, Maine area and had 5 sons- Marcus, Edward, James, John and Brian. In 1986, when their youngest was 6 months old, they moved to Palm Coast, FL. A few years later they moved to the home in Bunnell where Janice resided at the time of her passing.
Janice spent much of her time on Earth caring for others. Professionally, as an in-home caregiver and personally, as a loving mother, grandmother and, recently, a great-grandmother. Being a Grammy was one of Janice’s greatest joys in life. She loved to capture all the memories in pictures and videos any chance she got. During a recent trip to Maine, she was able to show many of her grandchildren where she grew up on Peaks Island, enjoy her favorite Amato’s Italian sandwiches and take many, many pictures.
Janice earned her angel wings while still on Earth, she was truly one of God’s soldiers. She shared the word of God with everyone she met and did it with warmth and grace. Janice will always be remembered for her patience, understanding, strength and passion for Christ.
There is comfort in knowing Janice joins her parents, her husband Jimmy DiMillo, her son Eddie DiMillo, her grandson Joseph DiMillo, and sister Vicki Wetherington in heaven.
Here on earth, until they meet again, are her sons:
Marcus DiMillo and his children Josiah, Caleb, Daniel, Eliana, Emilia, Marianna, and Jacob.
James DiMillo and his children Collin (and his daughter Paisley) and Gianna.
John DiMillo, wife Kiri and their children Charles, Karlee, Kaiden, Arianna, Zekariah, Elijah, Isiah, Malachi and a baby due in November.
All of Palm Coast and Bunnell, Florida.
Brian DiMillo, wife Heather and their children Gavin and Eli of North Yarmouth, Maine.
Jimmy’s daughters, whom she loved as her own:
Lisa Hastings, husband Scott and their children Alexandra and Bodie.
Debbie DiMillo partner Kevin and her children Danny and David McClure and their families.
All of Maine.
Sister, Tina Finley and husband Bob of Standish, ME. Brothers, Frank Wetherington and wife Andrea of Florida, Mark Wetherington of Waterboro, ME, Bruce C. Wetherington of Buxton, ME and Thomas Wetherington and wife Gabriela of Virginia.
All are invited to join in a Celebration of Life at Community Baptist Church, 956 S Old Dixie Hwy, Bunnell, FL 32110 on Saturday, October 9th from 2-5pm with the Rev. Trent Schake officiating.
