Jeffery Alan Sikora's Obituary
I am heartbroken to announce the passing of my husband, Jeffrey Alan Sikora, 62 who passed away on October 5, 2023 in Palm Coast, Florida. The way in which Jeff lived his life, his deep belief in the
Catholic faith, and his unwavering love for his family and all the beloved animals they took care of,
was without question an otherworldly passion and a true inspiration.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Corinne Sikora, his brother, Jerry Sikora, and his sister, Judith Adanich.
Jeff is also survived by his children, Lauren Espinoza, Amanda (Bobby) Barth, Kade Sawyer (James Weaver), and Sara (Brad) Smith. Cherished brother of Joyce (Ron) Greer, Janet Charney, and Jim (Tracey) Sikora. Loving Faja (father) to Richard Parker, family cat. Beloved Uncle of Kim (Shannon) Leggat, Kelly Greer (Shelly Miller), Brian (Alycia) Charney, Abby Sikora, Abraham Gould, Emma Willson, Zachary Willson, and Amber Sawyer. Loving son-in-law to Jean Sawyer-Yearick, brother-in-law to Lisa (David) Willson, Johnny Sawyer (Patty Powers), and David (Laura) Sawyer. Treasured “Jah-Gee” to Andrew, Ava, Payton, Alexander, and Noah, and finally, a most precious Great Uncle to Greyson, Ila, Maya, Lilly, Tyler, Devon, Allie, Hayley, and Collin, as well as a loving cousin to many.
Jeff grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, where he attended Annunciation Catholic school, and fostered his love for playing sports. Some of the most treasured accomplishments was acting in the performing arts, including Brigadoon, West Side Story, and the Wizard of Oz. He graduated from John Marshall High School in 1979 where he made many lifetime friends. He remained in Cleveland for several years, establishing a beloved career path in butchery. Jeff was always a Cleveland native at heart, idolizing the Browns, Indians, and the Cavs, although there were years of disappointment, he always remained hopeful and loyal. Then, in 1994 Jeff moved to Georgia where he held several positions at the popular grocery chain, Ingles, but most importantly, Georgia is where we met, where we enjoyed singing Karaoke together, and attending many concerts, I truly believe Jeff was my soulmate.
Jeff and I were married April 11, 1998 after which they spent many years raising their family where they established their roots, in Atlanta. In 2011, Jeff and I moved to Palm Coast, where he became a true Floridian, discovering the beauty that Florida offers: fishing, beach-going, golfing, and Florida’s finest seafood, loving every minute of it.
His children were gifted many of Jeff’s best qualities: his integrity, loyalty, his inherent ability to love so deeply you physically hurt from laughing or crying, a catalogue full of funny faces and silly voices, but most importantly, his humor, importance of close family, and a sense of devoting as much energy to being your true self.
He was one of a kind and will be dearly missed.
A memorial service will be held at Heritage Funeral and Cremation Service on Tuesday, October 10, with prayers starting at 6:00 PM. (4601 E. Moody Blvd., Bunnell, FL 32110)
Heritage Funeral and Cremation Service is in charge of arrangements.
