Joan and I were friends for 50 years. She, Claudette and I got up in the middle of the night to drive far out into the dark Oklahoma countryside to see Haley's comet. We were looking in the wrong direction and didn't see it. She was always fun, always eager to gather together with friends for a party. She loved to cook and was always willing to help with whatever friends needed or wanted. She was unique. Casey.
