Joann E. Sikes, age 66, of South Daytona, FL passed away on August 22, 2012 in Daytona Beach, FL. She was born on April 20, 1946 in Daytona Beach, FL to the late Charles and Ramona Sikes nee Jorgenson.
Joann retired from the United States Postal Service after 20 plus years of dedicated service. She enjoyed writing, cooking, and studying her family’s history and genealogy. She loved all kinds of animals and was a strong advocate for animal rights and rescue. Her love for animals led her to become a member of the World Wildlife Federation.
Joann is survived by her daughter, Christa R. Farmer and husband Geri, sister, Mona Lee Finley, and her grandchildren, Summer- Rainsong Haick-Browning and Christopher Ray Charles Powles Pymer.
All arrangements are under the direction of Heritage Cremation and Memorial Chapel, Port Orange, FL.
