Joel W. Grados-Rios' Obituary
Joel W. Grados-Rios was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend. He left this world peacefully on June 18, 2023, surrounded by the devoted comfort of his mother’s, brothers’, and sister’s presence.
Joel was born in Lima, Peru and was the eldest of 7 children. In his early years, Joel was a smart young man and an exceptional athlete. He was a gifted and talented soccer player whose skills defied all expectations. Joel was faced with a challenge early in his life that sidetracked his athletic ambitions, but, ever hopeful, he managed to find a different path which showcased his amazing sense of humor and zest for life.
Joel was a proud man, who took great pride in his appearance, family, friends, and social experiences. Joel was especially close to his mother Teresa, who was his rock, caretaker, and companion until the very end. Joel made people laugh and his presence will always be felt.
Joel is survived by his mother, Teresa Rios Rodriguez, brothers, Jetsel Grados, Juan Grados, Roberto Grados, Jose Grados, and Raphael Rodriguez, his sister, Johana Rios, and his nieces and nephews, David, Erika, Tiffany, Dakota, Sarah, Anthony, Mason, Remingtin, River, and Reagan.
