John S. Branning Sr.'s Obituary
John Steven Branning Sr., 75, of Palm Coast, Florida, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 18, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
John was born on March 10, 1950, in Honesdale, Pennsylvania, to Robert E. Branning and Doris E. Wood Branning. On December 27, 1970, he married the love of his life, Dorothy E. Coppola, at St. Joachim Church in Beacon, New York, beginning a beautiful journey of over five decades together.
A man of deep devotion and simple joys, John held a lifelong passion for eagles, Snoopy, and—above all—his family. His gentle humor, steady presence, and unwavering love left a mark on everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Dorothy E. Branning; his children, Traci Posner (husband Aaron) and John Branning II (wife Stacey); his cherished grandchildren, Ashley Bellar (husband Mason), Zachary Branning (wife Ashleigh), Austin Branning (wife Montgomery), Kyle Branning (fiancée Liberty), Joshua Posner, and Casey Posner; and his adored great-grandchildren, Catherine Bellar, Madison Bellar, and Cody Branning.
John's legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty will live on in the hearts of those he touched. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
On Friday April 25, 2025 the family will receive visitors starting at 3:00pm at Heritage Funeral and Cremation Service, 4601 E. Moody Blvd., Unit G7, Bunnell, Florida 32110. The Memorial Service will begin promptly at 4:00pm.
