John Dougherty's Obituary
John Dougherty , age 74, of Bunnell, Florida, passed away June 3, 2026, at his residence. He was born July 30, 1951, in New York, New York, son of Helen and the late John Dougherty Sr.
He graduated from Fiorello LaGuardia Aeronautical University where he trained to get his single engine pilot license. Prior to his retirement he worked for the City of New York in the Department of Education as a Stationary Engineer and facilities, maintenance manager with the responsibility of maintaining multiple Board of Education facilities, including administrative, facilities, and schools
In addition to his mother, John is survived by his son John and three grandchildren, his sister Diane and brother Bill, four nephews, one niece and 14 grand nieces and nephews, along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss him. John’s family and friends will forever cherish the memories of him.
Roman Catholic funeral mass will be held for him on Wednesday, June 17 at 10 AM at Saint Stephen’s Church in Bunnell, Florida
