John Dennis Veto's Obituary
John Dennis Veto, 76, passed away on December 14, 2022 at AdventHealth Palm Coast. John was born on July 13, 1946 in Springfield, Massachusetts to the late Charles and Jennie Veto. He had a love for NASCAR, antique cars, cooking and family. Anytime all those things could be combined was a great day for him. In his younger years he ran his son’s Boy Scout Meetings. John also famously ran the Cheese Store in Springfield, MA with his sons. He was a kind, caring and compassionate man. John never met a stranger. Most family will remember John for how he outrageously taped cards and gifts for people just to make sure everything got to them safely.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Charles “Chuck” Veto and Louis “Louie” Veto; his son in law, Steven Kikly; his sister, Joan Serrenho, and her husband, Jack Serrenho. Along with his two brothers in laws, John “Jack” Bressette and Benedict “Ben” Tarnauskas.
John is survived by his loving wife, Linda Veto of Palm Coast, FL and his granddaughter, Ashely Brown and her husband, James of Springfield, MA; His stepchildren, Janie Musick and her husband, Daniel of Azle, TX, Amy Lawson and her husband, Drew of Azle, TX, Jonathan Davis of Azle, TX, Chris Davis of Azle, TX, Adam Davis of Azle, TX and Crystal Davis of Azle, TX; His son, Peter Veto and his wife, Jill of Athens, TN along with his grandchildren, Madelyn Veto and Cameron Veto. John will be deeply missed by his 10 great grandchildren: Daniel and Nathan Brown of Springfield, MA, Nathan, Alison, and Ryan Musick of Azle, TX, Connor and Cayden Lawson of Azle, TX, Abby and Jeremiah Davis of Azle, TX and Colby Davis of Azle, Tx. John also leaves his three siblings, Carol Bressette, Antionette Fusco, and Peter Veto. Along with countless nieces and nephews that had been so special and caring throughout his life.
John can now rest easy, free from medical issues and back with his beloved sons and family that he had so deeply missed and loved.
