Joseph Michael Ateek
Joseph Michael Ateek of Daytona Beach, FL was born on March 20, 1933 in Danbury, CT to the late Michael Abraham Ateek and Malakey Khalifie Ateek. He passed away on March 30, 2013 in Daytona Beach, FL at the age of 80 years.
Mr. Ateek attended high school at Henry Abbott Technical High School before continuing his college education at the University of Bridgeport. He was a US Air Force Veteran serving during the Korean War. He moved to Florida in 1969 from Connecticut. He enjoyed fishing, boating, dancing, music, and military history. He will be most remembered for time spent with his family on their boat from sun up to sun down. He will also be remembered for his smile and big blue eyes.
In addition to his parents, Joseph is preceded in death by his brother, George Michael Ateek, and his sister, Mary Gregoini.
He is survived by his daughters; Susan Grace Ateek, Leslie Ann Lang, and Kerry Ann Scianni, his sister, Jeanette Dinho, and his first wife and friend Shirley Ann Ateek.
