Julian Thorne May's Obituary
Julian T. (Booty) May, age 84, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2024 after a long battle with COPD. He was the son of Margaret Rowland May and Hugh Randolph May. He was proceeded in death by parents and brother Hugh Randolph, Jr. (BOBO).
Booty loved old rock and roll and it played continuously in his bedroom all night. He served in the US Coast Guard and loved his country. He loved talking with his classmates from RMSH Class of ’58 and many friends. Loved yard work at his home in Ormond Beach, Florida and never saw a plant he didn’t recognize the name of. He worked as a tobacco buyer in Rocky Mount in excess of 30 years. He loved animals ans especially his current cat, Willie Mays.
Booty is survived by hi wife, Connie May; Sister-in-Law, Vickie J. Neal (Ralph) of Wilson; Niece Heather May Hughes (joey) of Lititz, PA; Niece Karen Ritchie (Ken) of Laurinburg, NC; and Nephew David Stallings (Kelly) of Cary, NC.
The family would like to thank Gentiva Hospice of Florida and their staff for their exceptional care and concern for Booty, as well as Connie.
A memorial service will be held for friends and family in Rocky Mount, NC at a later date.
