June Ellen Stuckel-Raffaele's Obituary
In Loving Memory of June Ellen Stuckel-Raffaele
June 25, 1945 – August 3, 2025
With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the peaceful passing of June Ellen Stuckel-Raffaele, 80, on August 3, 2025, at Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House, with her beloved family by her side.
Born on June 25, 1945, in Buffalo, New York, to the late Charlie and Violet Stuckel, June lived a life rooted in compassion, grace, and determination. From a young age, she exuded a deep love for animals and nature—sharing her life with cherished cats, dogs, and horses. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures: long walks, reading, traveling, and staying active through regular exercise. Her curiosity and vibrant spirit never waned.
June’s passion for caring for others led her to pursue a career in nursing, earning her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the Orlando School of Nursing at Florida International University. A dedicated registered nurse, she served with gentleness, empathy, and professionalism—leaving lasting impressions on both colleagues and patients alike. Education was a cornerstone of her life, and she encouraged others to strive for growth and purpose.
She was a woman of quiet faith and strength, firmly rooted in her Catholic beliefs. Those who knew June will remember her as someone who always listened intently, loved deeply, and gave freely. She was the heart of her home and the steady presence her family leaned on.
June is survived by her loving husband, Albert Raffaele; her daughter, Rebecca Lacy (Rusty); and her three adored grandchildren, Autum, Austin, and Adalynn. She is also survived by her sister, Jean Fairbanks; her niece, Christina Cantrell (Mark) and their children, Gabrielle, Tristan, Piper, Parker, and Freya; along with many extended family members and dear friends who were blessed to know her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, August 8, 2025, at Heritage Funeral and Cremation Service.
Though June’s earthly journey has come to a close, her legacy of love, compassion, and quiet strength lives on in all who knew her. In our sorrow, we celebrate the beauty of her life and the eternal peace she now knows.
