Karl Robert Rist's Obituary
Karl Robert Rist, age 78, of Flagler Beach, passed away on September 8, 2025 in Palm Coast, Fl, after a long battle with Renal Disease.
Karl was born in Mansfield, OH on September 18, 1946 to the late Harry Rist & Eleanor Jolly. When Karl was a child his parents moved their family to Hollywood Beach, Florida where he and his siblings spent their childhood Fishing and boating. He graduated from S. Broward H.S. in 1964.
Karl started his career as a carpenter in S. FL. & he quickly worked his way up to construction management throughout his career & was the Superintendant building many of the high rises along the coast from Singer Island to Miami Beach plus he built large commercial projects throughout Florida & Georgia. he was especially proud of working on the the Ft. Lauderdale Science museum & the Broward county courthouse.
Karl was an avid fisherman, boater & hunter & a good old Florida boy as you could always find him fishing in the keys, the west coast around Pine Island, Sanibel Island area, the Everglades, Stuart & of course off the coast of West Palm Beach where he lived much of his adult life. Karl’s second love was hunting and he hunted in his younger years all over Florida and eventually moved North to an area in Georgia in which he was one of the founding members of a hunt camp called Gos-low which is still thriving today.
Karl is survived by his daughter Shari Murriello, step daughter Robin Parrett, step son Brian Parrett grand children James & Matthew Murriello Christopher, Tristian & Trevan Parrett, Jacob & Addie Parrett. Karl’s brother & sister in-law Tom & Dale Rist plus four nephews & one niece.
Karl Robert Rist was proceeded in death by his parents Harry and Eleanor Rist, his son Todd Michael Rist and his brother John Rist.
Karl will be missed by his family and friends! 🖤
