Kathleen Patricia Bunassar's Obituary
Kathleen "Kathy" Patricia Walsh Bunassar was born on October 29,1957 to Jo Ann and Edgar Walsh, and grew up in Garland, NJ. Kathy graduated from David Brearley Regional High School in 1976 where she enjoyed playing Clarinet and going to band camp with her friends. After high school, Kathy moved to Florida where she married the late Michael R. Bunassar.
Kathy worked at Miami Hospital for many years before moving to Palm Coast, FL where she enjoyed spending time with her mother and longtime companion. She worked many years at Publix Supermarket and other stores prior to retirement. She enjoyed many friends and social activities in her independent living residence. Her favorite pastime was playing Rummikube.
Kathleen was a sweet, kind, thoughtful loving daughter, and friend to many.
She was pre-deceased by her father, mother, stepfather, and late husband. Left to cherish her memory are longtime companion Tony Cutrera, stepsisters Denise Vreeland and Cheryl Wisenbaker (Tony), lifelong friend Timothy Blazier Healey, brother Glenn Walsh (Rosemary), niece Cassaundra, sister in law Amy Gallimore (Ken), niece Kelly Walsh, nephew Scott Walsh, friend Loulane Polla and many family, friends, neighbors and colleagues.
The family would like to acknowledge Christina Carlough and the wonderful staff and caregivers at Home Sweet Home for their tender care of Kathleen.
A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at 10:00 AM at San Lorenzo Cemetery, St Augustine, FL.
