Kathryn Eileen Klumpe's Obituary
Kathryn Eileen Klumpe, lovingly known as “Free Bird,” passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026, at AdventHealth Palm Coast. She was born on December 15, 1963, in Elmira, New York.
Kathryn lived life with a spirit that was both vibrant and unforgettable. She was witty, smart, and wonderfully charismatic, always able to make those around her laugh. She had a deep love for NASCAR, enjoyed collecting teddy bears, and had a way of filling any room with her personality and warmth.
Above all, Kathryn was a devoted mother and grandmother who cherished her family deeply. Her love was constant and unconditional, often expressed in her favorite phrase, “Love you to the moon and back.” She was also well known among family and friends for joking that the solution to just about anything was simply, “I’m telling ya… Neosporin!” — a line that never failed to bring a smile.
She is survived by her life partner of 28 years, Freddy, who stood by her side through life’s journey; her son, Theodore; her daughter, Stephanie; her beloved grandchildren, Madison, Kenzie, Geamani; and her niece, Rachel, along with many extended family members and friends who will carry her memory in their hearts.
A celebration of Kathryn’s life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Heritage Funeral and Cremation Service. Family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior to the service, beginning at 2:00 p.m., to share memories and honor the life of a woman who was truly one of a kind.
Kathryn’s laughter, love, and free spirit will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
