Kelvin Pinero Fuentes' Obituary
Kelvin Piñero passed away in Palm Coast, Florida on Wednesday, July 6, 2022. Kelvin was born to John and Andrea Pinheiro in Diego Martin, Trinidad, West Indies. Kelvin attended Diego Martin Boys Roman Catholic School.
Kelvin immigrated to America in the late 1960s and began a long and fulfilling career with Japan Airlines (JAL) in November of 1968. Kelvin retired from JAL in 2002 as the Director of Fleet and Cargo. He moved to Palm Coast, Florida, where he happily lived out the rest of his days. Kelvin was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Palm Coast, Florida.
Kelvin was an avid lover of sports and jazz music. He would often be found at the Saratoga Springs Cool Jazz Festival in the summer and visited the Blue Note Jazz Club in Manhattan on occasion. His favorite teams included the New York Yankees, the Jets, the Knicks and the Rangers. He held a special place in his heart for soccer and loyally followed his favorite football team, England’s Manchester United. Kelvin was a lover of world travel with some of his favorite destinations being Caracas, Aruba, Jamaica, Tokyo, Stockholm, Barbados, Canada, Grenada and his beloved island home of Trinidad and Tobago, where he regularly visited for Carnaval.
Kelvin was preceded in death by his father, John, mother Andrea and his brother Carl Pinheiro. He was also preceded by a beloved cousin, Aubrey Edwards aka “Tex”. Cherishing Kelvin’s beautiful memories are his siblings Eastlyne, Joan and Celsus.
Celebrating Kelvin’s fruitful life are his children: Grace and Glen (Monica), Kurt and Andre (Pearl), Debbie (Myra), Michele (Phyllis), Sean (Helen), Wendy (Enid), Karen, Gayle and Natasha (Cindy), Ricky and Nicole (Elva), Andriana and Ariel (Joyce) and Kelly (Maureen). Kelvin is also celebrated by countless grandchildren, great grandchildren, precious nieces and nephews, loving relatives and cherished friends.
A memorial service will be held at Heritage Funeral and Cremation Service, in Palm Coast, Florida on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at 11am. A repast will follow the service and is by invitation only.
