Koehler Davis Powell's Obituary
Koehler Davis Powell was born on October 24, 1940, in Waco, TX, to James B. and Mamie Thedford Powell. Koehler passed away on November 20, 2024, in Palm Coast, FL.
Koehler graduated cum laude from Houston Vocational-Technical High School in 1960 and studied electrical engineering at the University of Houston. He began his lifelong career with IBM in 1965. He retired from IBM in 2002.
Koehler was a good man, admired and acknowledged by many. He had a dry sense of humor and was entertaining to be with. During their marriage, he and June traveled extensively. He experienced great joy in watching his grandchildren grow and enjoyed maintaining his cars.
Koehler is survived by his spouse of 58 years, June Powell, his three sons: Joel (Mia) of Palm Coast, FL, Kevin (Judy) of Driftwood, TX, and Eric (Lisa) of The Woodlands, TX. He is also survived by ten grandchildren: Julia, Jacob, Josh, Sean, Devin, Jonathan, Joseph, Judah, Joash and June; two great grandchildren: Jesse and David. Other survivors include a brother, Sherwood (Janelle) of Friendswood, TX, and a sister, Linda Mock of Dallas, TX. Koehler was predeceased by his parents and two brothers, Gary and Harvey Gene.
Memorial services will be held in Orlando, FL, and Houston, TX, at later dates.
