Linda Sue Taylor's Obituary
Linda Sue Taylor, 62, went to be with her heavenly father alongside her loving family in Palm Coast, Florida, March 6th, 2024, after a long fight with Cancer. Born in Sterling, Illinois on September 1st, 1961 to Alfred “Jim” Kaehler and Shelby Kaehler (maiden name Near). She attended Rock Falls Township High School, class of 1979. Sister to Debbie, Cindy, Kim, Terry and Phil Kaehler Linda was Married to Terry Kelly and had three children, Chelsea (Now Chelsea Ryan), Evan, and Kristelin (Now Kristelin Ragland). She later remarried to the love of her life Mark Taylor, who preceded her in death in 2019 regrettably also from cancer.
Linda found meaning, friendship and community through her church at First Baptist Church of Palm Coast. She enjoyed volunteering in the kitchen for the “Burnt Offerings” group. She was also proud to be one of the original women to start the Widows Grief share group for the church.
Linda was a natural people’s person having no problem making and keeping connections that forged life long bonds that even miles couldn’t separate. She will be deeply missed amongst her Family and friends.
Linda gained five step daughters through her marriage with Mark -Jennifer (Now Jennifer Castillo, married to Rick, Janice (Now Echebarria, Married to Rich), Julie (Now Julie Charleston, married to Rob), Jessica (Now Jessica Jonaway, married to Kole) and Jill Taylor.
Linda’s legacy not only permeates many hearts and memories but survives through her mother, Four Siblings, two daughters, one son, five step daughters, fifteen grandkids and two great grand-children. To which she was immensely proud of. She is preceded in death by her father Jim and Half Brother Phil Kaehler.
Please join the family as they say goodbye Friday June 7th, 2024 at 11:00 AM with a Memorial Service at Harvest Time Bible Church located at 1802 Dixon Rd, Rock Falls, IL 61071; following a Celebration of Life at Champs Banquet Hall located at 11 E. 3rd St. in Sterling at 4:00 PM.
