Louis H Lashinsky's Obituary
In Loving Memory of Louis Harold Lashinsky
Louis Harold Lashinsky, age 73, passed away on January 2, 2024, in Palm Coast, FL, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Born on February 25, 1950, in Charleston, WV, Louis was the cherished son of Isadore and Lillian "Bidy" (Wool) Lashinsky.
Louis first met Deborah “Debbie” Garrett while in high school, unaware they would eventually become college sweethearts while attending West Virginia University. In 1974, they sealed their commitment in marriage, marking the beginning of a lifelong journey together. After college, they built a life together in Miami, FL, where they lovingly raised their two daughters, Cynthia and Sharon. As their family grew, Louis also devoted his time to caring for his aging parents.
Known for his warm heart, love for animals and family, and a sense of humor that prevailed even in the worst of times, Louis loved life. A career in sales was a natural fit for him, allowing him to indulge in his passion for socializing, getting to know people, and building meaningful relationships. His vibrant spirit and genuine interest in others left a lasting impact on both his professional and personal circles. He enjoyed spending leisurely hours playing golf and enthusiastically cheering for his favorite sports teams.
In 2013, Louis and Debbie retired to the serene community of Palm Coast, FL, enjoying the tranquility of the coastal community. Before facing health challenges, Louis dedicated his time to volunteering at the Jerry Doliner Food Bank in Ormond Beach, FL, where he contributed to helping those facing food insecurity.
Louis is survived by his beloved wife, Deborah, their daughters Cynthia Lashinsky of Camp Hill, PA, and Sharon (Raymond) Delgado of Palmetto Bay, FL, and his adoring grandsons RJ, Dylan, and Ethan Delgado. He was preceded in death by his parents, Isadore and Lillian "Bidy" Lashinsky.
