Lucrecia I Cabrera's Obituary
With saddened hearts we announce the passing of Lucrecia I. Cabrera, 95, of Palm Coast. Lucrecia was born on November 29, 1928 in Guayaquil, Ecuador to the late Jose Leon and Mercedes Zuniga. She left her early home and entered heaven’s gate on December 14, 2023 at Halifax Hospice Care Center in Ormond Beach, Fl.
Lucrecia was a devout catholic and faithful prayer warrior. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Science and enjoyed her days as an educator and teacher. Most of all she loved her family dearly, spending time with them was her passion. Lucrecia was a giver, she loved helping others. She also enjoyed sewing, crocheting, singing and dancing.
Lucrecia was preceded in death by her husband, Luis A. Cabrera.
Lucrecia is survived by her daughters, Martha Cabrera-Vargas and Angela Cabrera-Vargas; son, Luis E. Cabrera; grandchildren, John Cabrera, Andres Vargas, Catrina Vargas, Melissa Vargas; great-grandchildren, Gwendelyn Vargas, Cassandra Vargas, Leena Vargas and Sophie Welch; a host of extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.
A Funeral Mass celebrating the life of Lucrecia will be 1:00 PM, Thursday, December 21, 2023 at St Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. There will be a gathering of family and friends 1 hour prior to the funeral mass.
