Margia Lene Yates
Margia Lene Yates nee Keirbow of Palm Coast, FL was born on October 27, 1932 in Anniston, AL to the late Glenn Keirbow and Rosalee Keirbow nee McMichael. She passed away at her home on September 23, 2013 at the age of 80 years, after losing her battle with lung cancer.
Margia grew up in Anniston, AL and later in life relocated to Carrolton, GA. She graduated from the Georgia Baptist Hospital School of Nursing in Atlanta, GA. Margia married Dwain Yates in 1951, and they shared their lives together in Atlanta, GA.
She worked as a private Registered Nurse until her retirement and relocation to Palm Coast, FL in 2000. She was passionate about making a difference in the lives of her patients, and worked tirelessly in that endeavor. Margia was an active member of Hammock First Baptist Church in Palm Coast, FL. Her greatest loves in life were her family, friends, and her church.
In addition to her husband, Margia is preceded in death by a great granddaughter.
She is survived by her sons; Derek Yates of Riverdale, GA, Greg Yates of Cumming, GA, Chris Yates of Newnan, GA, and Kipp Yates of Luella, GA. Also surviving are her brothers; Willard and Robert Keirbow, four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Margia’s name to Hammock First Baptist Church, 5328 N. Oceanshore Blvd., Palm Coast, FL 32137.
Services will be held at 10:45 am on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at Hammock First Baptist Church, 5328 N. Oceanshore Blvd., Palm Coast, FL 32137.
