Margie D Bryant's Obituary
Margie D. Bryant, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and pillar of the community, passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her bedside on March 19, 2024. Margie was born on December 7, 1943, in Monticello, Kentucky, to the late Melvin and Jean Anderson.
In her early years, Margie captured the hearts of many and won several beauty pageants in Kentucky. She pursued her college education at Bowling Green College of Commerce, setting a foundation for her future endeavors. In 1983, Margie retired from her professional career and embarked on a new journey, co-founding Buddy Boy’s Kountry Korner, where she served as Vice President. Margie's warm smile and genuine kindness shined brightly to all who crossed her path as she greeted each customer with unwavering hospitality. In 2003, she embraced permanent retirement, devoting her time to her cherished family and friends.
While Margie was widely respected in St. Johns County, her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, showering them with love and affection. Her nurturing presence and boundless generosity enriched the lives of all who knew her.
Margie is survived by her devoted husband of 61 years, Ira Bryant; her children, Ira “Buddy” Bryant Jr. and Serena Bryant; her grandchildren, Weston Huddleston, Lanae Peters, Kayla Bryant, and Ira “Tripp” Bryant III; seven great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Deena Swafford and Joan Anderson. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Shannon Carol Bryant Holzer and her brothers, Norman and Danny Anderson.
A Celebration of Margie’s life will be 2:00pm-5pm. Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 1660 County Road 13 South, Elkton, Florida, family and friends will come together and honor her memory.
Though Margie may no longer be with us in person, her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched with her warmth and grace.
Rest in peace, dear Margie. You will forever be cherished and remembered.
