Marie E. Duda, 70, of Palm Coast, FL died unexpectedly on March 7, 2025. She was born on August 16, 1954 in Amityville, NY to John and Alberta (nee Burkevage) Majikas.
Marie was proud to be active for decades in the Coast Guard Auxiliary, most notably as a Flotilla Commander. She cherished her time being involved alongside her husband Samuel Edward Duda, who honorably served in the Air Force and Coast Guard. Marie was a devout Christian; most recently she was a member of the Palm Coast Bible Church. She also was passionate about rescue animals and practicing martial arts.
A recent widow in November of 2024, she is predeceased by her beloved husband Ed and her parents. Marie is survived by her brothers Michael (Sue) Majikas and Dennis (Kathleen) Majikas; and her stepson James (Judy) Duda. Undoubtedly, she will be dearly missed by countless family and friends across the country.
At this time, no formal services are planned. Per her wishes, at a future date Marie and Ed will receive a proper military burial at sea. In lieu of flowers, her families requests that you consider supporting a local animal rescue or any of your favorite charities in her honor.
