Marilyn Fowler Ketchledge
Marilyn Fowler Ketchledge, beloved wife and mother, of Ormond Beach, FL was born on June 17, 1928 in Schenectady, NY to the late William M. Fowler and Lura Fowler nee George.  She passed away on August 19, 2013 at her home at the age of 85 years.
Marilyn graduated from Draper High School in 1946, and received her nursing degree from the Ellis Hospital School of Nursing in 1948. On August 5, 1950 she married her loving husband Arthur T. Ketchledge, and they shared 63 years together. During her career as a Registered Nurse, she worked at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY, Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach, FL, a hospital in Bunnell, FL, and Fairfax Hospital in Vienna, VA. Her other commitments involved raising her three children and being exceptionally active in church activities. Since her return to Ormond Beach, FL in 1987, Marilyn has been an active member in the Ormond Beach Presbyterian Church, where she served on the Fellowship Committee as well as many other volunteer positions. For over twenty years, she volunteered at Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center in Ormond Beach and Daytona Beach, FL.
In addition to her aforementioned parents, Marilyn is preceded in death by her daughter Linda Anne Ketchledge in 1995.
She is survived by her loving husband Art Ketchledge of Ormond, Beach, FL, a daughter Janice Lura Ketchledge of Ormond Beach, FL, her son Jeffrey A. Ketchledge of Port Orange, FL, and her grandchildren; Christopher Ketchledge of Fort Lauderdale, FL, and Nicole Paige Ketchledge of Port Orange, FL.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marilyn’s name to the Halifax Humane Society, 2364 LPGA Blvd., Daytona Beach, FL 32124.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at the Ormond Beach Presbyterian Church, 105 Amsden Rd., Ormond Beach, FL 32176.
