She graduated top of her class from hairdressing school and continued to impress her employer and co-workers with the many awards she won during various competitions. After her marriage to her first husband Charles ended, Margie married Bernard Carey and had a son. After working more than 4 decades as a beautician, Margie was forced to retire due to an eye disease. However, she never let that stop her from painting and enjoying the finer things in life.
Margie is survived by her husband Bernard Carey of Daytona Beach, FL with whom she spent 49 years, daughters; Beth Weiler-Martin of Port Orange, FL, Wendy Weiler-Reed and husband Max of Port Orange, FL, and Bonnie Weiler-Sagraves and husband Richard of South Daytona, FL, her son John Carey and wife April of Ormond Beach, FL, a sister Gay Iocco and husband Frank of Ormond Beach, FL, and her brother-in-law John Carey and wife Andrena of Ormond Beach, FL. Also surviving are her grandsons Howard Culpepper and Jacob Sagraves of Port Orange, FL, and granddaughters Alexis Sagraves of South Daytona, FL, and Vanessa and Victoria Carey of Ormond Beach, FL, and several nieces and nephews.
