Mark Armand Bertrand's Obituary
Mark Armand Bertrand
December 10, 1998 – March 12, 2025
It is with unimaginable sorrow that we share the passing of our beloved son, Mark Armand Bertrand, on March 12, 2025, at the age of 26. Mark was born on December 10, 1998, in Stafford, Connecticut, and grew up surrounded by love and laughter.
He graduated from Flagler Palm Coast High School in Palm Coast, Florida, where he discovered his passion for pole vaulting and still holds the school record at 14 feet, 6 inches. Mark continued his education at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach on a Track and Field scholarship, later pursuing courses in aircraft fabrication and welding. He went on to work with pride and precision on the production line at Northrop Grumman in St. Augustine.
Mark was a gifted athlete who embraced life with intensity and joy. He loved pole vaulting, playing golf, and rock climbing, and he excelled at everything he put his heart into. He also had a deep passion for motorcycling and online gaming—especially with his brothers, to whom he was endlessly devoted. Their bond was unbreakable.
To know Mark was to know a soul full of kindness, sensitivity, and quiet strength. He was always ready to lend a hand or an ear, and he never hesitated to show up for the people he cared about.
Mark is survived by his heartbroken parents, Roderick and Rita Bertrand; his beloved siblings: sister Jennifer Kelley, and brothers Michael Kelley, Andrew Bertrand, and Noah Bertrand; grandparents Christina Segalla, Marcel Bertrand, and Carmen Allen; and a large extended family. He was predeceased by his grandfather, Francesco Segalla.
A celebration of Mark’s life will take place on April 15, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Palm Coast, Florida, at 10 AM, with Mass at 11 AM. Friends and family are invited to share their memories and celebrate the beautiful life he lived. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) in his honor. Mark, you will forever remain in our hearts. We miss you.
Heritage Funeral and Cremation Service of Bunnell, FL assisted the family with arrangements. www.HeritageFlagler.com
