Mark Horatio Hornblower's Obituary
Obituary for Mark Horatio Hornblower
Mark Horatio Hornblower,59, of Bunnell, passed away on March 23, 2020 at his home. Mark was born on January 8, 1961 in Olean, New York to William D and Helen S Hornblower. He was the youngest son of his 5 siblings: William, Jeffrey, Myra, David, and Dale.
Mark lived in many different parts of the country, but spent most of time in New York, Ohio and Florida. He operated Goodtime Charlie’s Bar in Parma Heights, OH before retiring and heading south to enjoy the beaches and fishing near Ormond Beach, FL. Mark was known as an outgoing and friendly character that loved to have fun. He cherished the simple things the most- he loved to cook, spending time outside (especially fishing), and socializing in general. He enjoyed meeting and chatting with new people almost as much as he did hanging out with friends. Mark impacted many people over the years, and will be sorely missed.
He is survived by the love of his life Kveta “K” Eakin whom he met almost 20 years ago near Cleveland, and his son Mark Robbins of Rochester, NY; as well as his siblings William Hornblower of Clearwater, FL; Jeffrey Hornblower of West Lake, OH; Myra Scott of Orange Park, FL and Dale Hornblower of Charlotte, NC.
He is predeceased by his brother David Hornblower of Houston, TX.
When it is safe to do so, a family organized beach gathering in the Daytona Beach area will be coordinated for all whom are able to attend. Our hope is that this memorial service and celebration of Mark will be possible around July 4th 2020.
