“Miller” Hill
Miller Hill, (79), co-founder of Tracy & Stacy's Masterpiece Jewelers passed away peacefully on October 30, 2013 surrounded by loved ones in Daytona Beach Florida. Miller was born on December 8, 1933 in Indianapolis Indiana. She move to Chicago after high school where she then graduated from Ray-Vogue Art Institute.
After she married, she went on to found the Village Academy of Fine Arts, a 72-student youth art school in Oak Park, Illinois.
In 1972 Miller moved to Daytona Beach with her family. She was an award-winning artist and lifelong business woman.
In 1994 she co-founded Tracy & Stacy's Masterpiece Jewelers with her two daughters and was in the store several times a week at her desk behind the counter. Miller loved interacting with the clients. She retired in early 2013.
Miller loved Disney, shopping, going to lunch, collecting art, making art and using her iPhone and iPad. She always kept up on current events and cultural trends.
She is survived by her daughters, Traci Jordan and Stacey Hill, her beloved grandson Henry "Hank" Jordan III whom she adored, and her longtime friend Henry Madison Jordan II, husband of her daughter Traci.
Per her wishes, a remembrance party in celebration of Miller's life will be held Tuesday, November 5th from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Stonewoods in Port Orange. Casual, come-and-go, with heavy hors d'oeuvres, beer and wine, plus a lifetime retrospective of her artwork. Family, friends and also clients of Tracy & Stacy's Masterpiece Jewelers are welcome to attend.
In lieu of flowers, the family will be collecting new toys that they will donate to a local children's charity.
All arrangements are under the care of Heritage Funeral & Cremation Service, Port Orange, FL.
