Meredith Lynn Smith
Meredith Lynn Smith, 17, of Palm Coast, passed away suddenly as a result of a tragic car accident on July 26, 2012.
She was born on March 23, 1995 in Lancaster, PA, the daughter of Robert and Kathleen Smith nee Cadden. Relocating from Lancaster, she and her family moved to Palm Coast in 1999 where Meredith attended both Flagler Palm Coast High School (FPC), and Daytona State College in the Dual Enrollment program. She participated in a Varsity sport, and worked at Steak-n-Shake. She was a 4 year Varsity Cheerleader at FPC, and her other endeavors included gymnastics, soccer, softball, Jr. Life Guarding and Girl Scouts.
Meredith is survived by her parents, Kathleen and Robert Smith, her sister, Mackenzie Smith, her brother, Zachary Smith, her grandmother, Patricia Cadden, and her niece, Melohdi Smith Doyle.
A Fellowship hour was held by the family starting at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, July 31st at the Palm Coast United Methodist Church, 5200 Belle Terre Parkway, Palm Coast, FL. Following Fellowship, there was a Memorial Service celebrating the life of Meredith starting at 4:30 pm at the church.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Meredith to FPC Cheerleading, c/o Flagler Palm Coast High School , 5500 East Hwy 100, Palm Coast, FL 32164. All arrangements were under the direction of Heritage Cremation and Memorial Chapel, Port Orange, FL.
